We have a few years before we have to do this but it might be useful to start collecting ideas now. My list is:

• Solar hot water.
• Solar electricity with smart meter.
• Possibly double brick with some cavity insulation.
• Something better than a few batts in the roof.
• Floor insulation, often neglected but can help.
• Glazing, have read that they now have triple glazing in some countries.
• Plenty of huge water tanks possibly underground to provide water for showers, toilets, maybe even everything with suitable filtration; they need some kind of mosquito protection.
• Storage heaters connected to the solar electric power in winter.
• Air conditioning connected to solar electric power, it would only be needed when the sun is shining, ceiling fans for really hot evenings.
• Efficient irrigation system from the water tanks.

That's my initial list, can anyone add to it?
